Acidosis & Alkosis ( Reason of Heavy Heat Stroke Mortalities)
Acidosis and Alkosis are two stages in nutrition, when developed in any living organisms that can cause hovocs.
I have practically experienced during my experience in animal nutrition that due to some biased feeding or some climatic conditions sometimes acidodis causes heavy mortalities. Like during peak summer. High temperature with humidity along with animals continuous sweating/panting, loss of electolytes and bird's all of sudden high demand in Diet energy causes these conditions to set in. As a result heavy mortalities in Poultry birds.
What to do then. Supplying additional electrolytes, alkaline proteins, B group vitamins along with physical measures like bathing, cooling etc are the remedial measures. About 90% farmers in poultry
do give additional vitamins and electrolytes but they fail to give alkaline proteins which dont give good results.
Our product Heat Formula is a step in this direction. 50gm per 1000 birds, about 1 hr. before the peak hot hours can save this situation. This is an feed additive and not water soluble so it can be given by top dressing in feed only.
